You will need to arrive about 20 minutes before the event begins to pick up your official tickets at the North Depot and receive your coach assignments for the train. Please dress appropriately for the weather, the coaches are not heated.
Railroad conductors will help you board the express tram to your destination and rind your seat on the coaches. As you ride through the wintery countryside on the way to the North Pole you will listen to The Polar Express story written by Chris Van Allsburg. When the story is finished you will have arrived at the North Pole.
Once you arrive at the North Pole, there are many activities in which to participate. On the top of most children's to-do lists is a visit to Railroad Santa, located in the Christmas Caboose at the North Pole. Children can share their Christmas wish lists with Santa; and children and adults alike will receive a silver bell from Santa.
In our craft room, children can make a simple Christmas craft to take home. There are model trains on wooden platforms and children can use a controller to run the model trains around the tracks. The Snow Princess has a small gift for the children who visit the North Pole, Hot cocoa, and coffee will be served, along with Christmas cookies. A family photo Is available to commemorate your visit to the North Pole. Our photographer will take your family's photo in front of our special North Pole display, and before your visit ends, your photo will be ready to take home.
