Celebrate Indee is held over the 3rd and 4th* of July in Independence, Iowa with an array of musical entertainment, activities for people of all ages, great food, drink, and Iowa’s most awesome and awe inspiring fireworks over the beautiful Wapsipinicon River in Independence, you will not be disappointed.
Events at Riverwalk Parks over the 3rd and 4th of July are organized by Celebrate Indee and its volunteer committee.
The bulk of the celebration is funded through a mixture of private and corporate donations. The City of Independence has maintained its traditional funding of the fireworks and all city departments have been extremely supportive. Our event attendees also help the continuation of this event through the purchase of food and drink. Without this amazing spirit of cooperation, generosity, and patronage, Celebrate Indee would not be possible.
​From the beginning of Celebrate Indee, it was determined that all proceeds would be returned to the celebration for the following year’s activities.
