Wyoming Fair History:

The Wyoming Fair began in 1935 as a draft horse show co-sponsored by the Wyoming Community Horse Show and the Wyoming Commercial Club.

In 1948, these organizations merged to become the Wyoming Community Club. In 1959, they became the Wyoming Fair Association.

The annual event was held on Main Street until 1956 when it moved to the school grounds. By 1957, the Association had purchased the present site of approximately 28 acres.

Our Fairgrounds provides a park for the community; softball, baseball, and football fields for the school and community, and a practice area for the school golf teams; FFA events, and Jones County Cattlemen's educational events.

We also provide a venue for several saddle horse events and team and calf roping competition.

For grounds and building rental for your occasion call Steve 319-480-2883.
