Now in its fifteenth year, the Simpson College Jazz Festival has become a staple for promoting jazz and jazz education in central Iowa and beyond! The event is open to all high school jazz ensembles and serves as a qualifying event for the Iowa Jazz Championships, though bands can participate for comments only.
Held annually in January, the festival attracts some of the finest high school jazz ensembles in the state, and prides itself on hosting some of the most renowned judges of any festival in Iowa
