Home of the Midwest old threshers festival great place to bring the family. Located in Mt pleasant Iowa. Midwest old threshers is an incredible sight to see when it's in full swing. Teaming with activities for everyone. The event features an old west town complete with old saloon and church bank and jail. Stop by and watch the bank robbery and gun fight or stop in to the general store for some treats from the past. This event also features an antique car barn, livestock barns, grandstands that have concert's and antique tractor shows. Visit the little prairie town and Indian village or the steam engine barn. With everything going on there you can always take a break and ride one of the free shuttle buses to historic downtown Mt pleasant and enjoy the local shops or the town square Is full of vendors selling Art's and Craft's. The town usually has tons of garage and tag sales. Camping is offered at the fair grounds but that usually fills up fast so plan in advance for lodging. This historic event happens at the beginning of September and will definitely leave wanting more.

Went to the flea market there. Nice place. Wouldn't go to the flea market, way over priced. Wasted 3 hrs of drive time. Even when they went down on price , it was still to much. Campground GOOD , flea market BAD.
