The room I had was clean, neat, and tidy. It had a very comfortable bed, and a wonderful view of the Mississippi. I fell asleep with the windows wide open because I couldn't stop looking out over the river and the lighted bridge. The walkway across to the convention space was easy to access and made it so I didn't have to walk outside in the rain to get to my business activities. Tony Roma's restaurant was moderately priced and the food was excellent. The waterpark isn't my cup-of-tea, but having it, too, attached to the hotel had me strongly considering the Grand Harbor Resort as a family vacation spot. Across the parking lot, there is a museum, and next to that is the casino. We could easily arrive at the hotel, never really leave the Port area and fill our week with relaxation and fun. I'll definitely be back. It's a great setting for a family vacation, or, in my case, for a chess tournament. I couldn't be any happier with the location.

Overall we had a great time. Our kids our 3, 5, and 7. I think the water park was a perfect size for them and us. After getting comfortable with the layout they were able to be much more independent and we were able to sit back and relax more. It is small enough that a couple hours at a time feels like plenty, even to the kids, which lends time to outside activities. The hotel room was definitely not a $200+ a night (Saturday rate) quality, but our Friday rate was very reasonable. There were a handful of great staff who were super helpful and really enjoy what they do. We also appreciated all the extra activities (boat making, cookie decorating, boat races, and face painting) that all really adds to your experience. Our kids are already asking when we will be coming back. With all the things to do in Dubuque I think we will!

Great fun for the whole family. Water slides, lazy river, and hot tub made the visit really enjoyable. Rooms were very clean, water park wasn't overly crowded. Arcade Had all the great carnival style games that award tickets but could use some retro gaming options though

We went for our 8 year old son's birthday. Not only did he have fun, but so did his 4 year old brother and my wife and I. For the cost, it is fabulous. We enjoyed the waterpark fir a bit over 2 hours and got every pennies worth out of it. The water was warm, lines went quick, and the staff does a great job keeping everyone safe. For families with kids from about 12 and under, it is a perfect indoor waterpark to spend an afternoon enjoying.

I really like the overall value being able to bundle the hotel, Waterpark, and Tony Roma’s restaurant. The rooms are decent and clean. Lots a great views of Dubuque as well. Park was tons of fun and well maintained with great lifeguard staff. My ONLY issue: the pizza dinner you get with Tony Roma’s (Pizza, 4 drinks, and 4 cookies) is not allowed to be eaten in the restaurant. You literally are asked to have it as take out to your room. There’s a huge missed opportunity here as most family’s will want other food besides just pizza! Sucks trying to order additional food and then be forced to take it all out. BIG loss of potential revenue and tips for your staff. Please rethink that policy.
