The Enchanted Valley Tree Farm all started as an interest in growing high quality timber. We had a chance to buy a tract of land in the beautiful Des Moines River valley near Honey Creek just southwest of Boone, Iowa. After purchasing the property, we discovered that the land was part of a historical farm-the very land that the heroine Kate Shelley had her home on. After owning the land for several years, we decided to grow Christmas trees on an unused section. This led us to include wreaths, garland and living Christmas trees in our business. We feature Scotch pines, White pines and Fraser firs.
