Clinton Symphony Orchestra

Clinton Symphony 53 years ago expect that we would celebrate their 53th Anniversary? We hope they did. A good number of the musicians, listeners and organizers are with us on this occasion, and we hope you will ask them. Of course, they have had help from many people along the way; but it was their inspiration, their initiative, and their hard work that started it all.

The highlights for this 53rd season, in addition to the superb repertoire, include the performances of three guest conductors for the orchestral concerts. From these three candidates, the CSO members, its Board, and the audience will choice one as permanent conductor and music director. As in years past, the Young Artist Auditions, offering a young musician the opportunity to be a soloist with the orchestra, has been an honored part of our tradition, and it continues on the April concert.

In keeping with a newer element of the organization's tradition, the Mid-Winter Chamber Music Concert has been scheduled again. In its two previous outings, the chamber music addition to the CSO's regular schedule has proven to be a resounding success.
