1:00 p.m - 5:00 p.m: Quilt Luminarium with Ricky Tims
A comprehensive quilt symposium that demystifies seemingly complex concepts, teaches mastery of unique techniques and harnesses the power of the ever-elusive muse of creativity.
Participate in two entertaining days and six sessions with Ricky Tims, quilting legend and entertainer to learn how to conquer techniques and concepts you may currently shy away from.

7:00 p.m: How To Make An American Quilt at Iowa Theater
Soon-to-be-wed graduate student Finn Dodd (Winona Ryder) develops cold feet when she suspects her fiancé is cheating on her. In order to clear her head, Finn visits her grandmother, Hy (Ellen Burstyn), and great aunt, Glady Joe Cleary (Anne Bancroft), in Grasse, Calif. There, Finn learns that Hy and Glady Joe are members of a group of passionate quilters, and over the course of her visit, she is regaled with tales of love and life by women who have collected rich experiences and much wisdom.

9:00 p.m - 3:00 p.m: Fabric To Dye For at Madison County Music Co. Building Sharon Wasteney
Learn to use fiber reactive dyes on cotton fabric using two different methods with separate results. Go home with 2 yards PFD (provided) colorfast, dyed fabric ready for use in your next quilted project and a new appreciation for hand dyed fabric processes.
Class Cost: $65

Supplies Include:
Mask for use with powdered dye
Protective waterproof gloves
Small bottle (like pill bottle)
3 plastic containers with lids
Your choice of 1 yard prewashed “ugly” fabric to “overdye” or vintage
linens that are languishing in those drawers. Must be 100% natural fiber content.

9:00 a.m - 4:00 p.m: Jamaican Stars at More Pieces Retreat Center Scott Flanagan
Grab your favorite Jelly Roll, and some supporting fabric and join Scott on a quilting journey as you learn how to create his popular Jamaican Stars Quilt. You will learn the tips and tricks to making fast 4-patch units and lining units up for perfect points!
