Newton's Fourth of July Celebration

The City of Newton's Fourth of July Celebration will take place at Agnes Patterson Memorial Park. Activities begin at 3 p.m.

Schedule:

3:00pm: Co-Ed Sand Volleyball Tournament
4:30pm: Free Throw Contest - Youth (12 and under) and Adults (18 and up)
5:30 - 8:30pm: Kids Zone (Inflatables)
6:15 - 9:15pm: Entertainment provided by DJ Ray
Dusk: Fireworks

Food Trucks:

Kona Ice, Sweet Swirls Ice Cream and KIKIS will be at the park beginning at 3 p.m.

Co-Ed Sand Volleyball Tournament:

The Co-Ed Sand Volleyball Tournament will take place at Agnes Patterson Memorial Park at on Tuesday, July 4. The start time for the tournament is 3 p.m.

A team is comprised of 6-9 players. There must be at least two females on the court for each team at all times. Players must be in 9th grade or older.

Free Throw Contest:

Free Throw Contest will take place at Agnes Patterson Memorial Park's basketball court (located by the soccer fields). Registration will take place the day of the event and rules will be handed out at the same time.

Two Age Divisions:

- 12 and under
- 18 and Older

12 and Under begins at 5pm; sign-ups begin at 4:30pm

18 and Over begins at 6:00pm; sign-ups begin at 5:30pm

Prizes will be given to 1st place and 2nd place. All free throw contest participants will receive a participation medal.

The Free Throw Contest is sponsored by The Dental Practice.

Fun Zone and Live Music:

The Kids Zone will feature inflatables and will open to the public from 5:30 - 8:30pm; live entertainment/music from DJ Ray will take place from 6:15 -to 9:15pmduring the Fourth of July Celebration.

Fireworks:

The annual fireworks celebration will begin at dusk at Agnes Patterson Memorial Park.
