Join Us For A Celebration Of All Things Newton, Iowa: Arts, Food, Music, History, Red Pride & So Much More

Join us the second weekend in June at Newton Fest! Residents and visitors can celebrate everything that makes Newton such a great community to live in. Newton Fest returns with a weekend of special events and family-friendly activities. Festivities will include live music, free entertainment and family fun held throughout the town and hosted by the City of Newton, community organizations and local businesses.

5:00pm - 7:00pm: DMACC's Chalk the Walk (FREE) at Maytag Park

Join DMACC at Maytag Park and bring out your inner artists! Take part in this fun, FREE, chalk art competition at Maytag Park and get creative! Chalk will be provided. There will be prizes for best themed, most creative and best under 13! More information coming soon!

7:00pm: Summer Concert Series at Maytag Bowl featuring Dueling Fiddles (FREE) at Maytag Bowl

Compromised of violinists Hanna Wolle and Geneviève Salamone, the Dueling Fiddles are a sought-after entertainment duo based in Des Moines, IA. This energetic and entertaining duo mix the rich sounds of the violin with self-produced accompaniment for unforgettable performances.

Those attending the free concerts are encouraged to bring chairs and blankets and are welcome to bring coolers to Maytag Park as they enjoy the free, live music.
