7:00 pm to 8:00 pm Wildlife Safari Night Hike - Shelter 2 Area
8:00 pm to 12:00 am Haunted Woods Night Hike - Shelter 2 Parking Lot Boy Scout Troop 17 of Webster City will be conducting a very scary hike for those people who want to enjoy the thrill of monsters and eerie creatures that chase you in the dark. The hike begins with a hayride by the shelter 2 area that will take you to the north boat ramp and you walk back towards the shelter two area on your own.
This hike is intended to SCARE YOU so don't go unless you enjoy being SCARED.
Celebrate the fall by participating in this family oriented event.
CAMPERS - Decorate your campsite and enjoy trick-or-treating, along with a hayride. Awards will be given for the two best decorated campsites that evening.
TRICK-OR-TREAT - Come in costume and trick or treat in the campgrounds.
HAYRIDES - Park at the beach lot to get on a hayride. The hayride will take you to shelter 1 in the campground for trick or treating. We will also have hayrides going from shelter 1 past shelter 2 and to the beach shelter. The hayrides loop will be provided throughout the evening from 6 pm to events end.
There is a $5.00 Fundraiser Donation per person that will get you in for both hikes.
Wildlife Safari - Discover what wildlife may unexpectedly roam around in Iowa today or in the near future as wildlife territories expand.
We will divide into groups, everyone will start at the same time, and the groups will rotate through the three or four stations.
Haunted Woods Hike will start by Shelter 2 with a hayride that takes you to the north boat ramp area and you will walk the bike trail back on your own towards shelter 2.
Dress appropriately for the weather.
There will be a $5.00 per person donation that will cover both of the Night Hikes. This event is a fund raiser for the Hamilton County Naturalist Program and Boy Scout Troop 17 of Webster City.
There is no charge for the the events taking place in the campgrounds.
